Trending Now: Sam Bradford to miss entire season with torn ACL

St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford will miss the entire upcoming season with a torn ACL in his knee. It’s Bradford’s second ACL injury in the last 9 months. 

 

Tiger Woods has parted ways with swing coach, Sean Foley.  Woods had been with Foley since 2010, and in a statement said there is no timetable to hiring a new coach.

 

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton suffered a hairline fracture to a rib. Coach Ron Rivera believes Newton will play in the season opener against Tampa Bay. 

 

The 49ers beat the Chargers 21-7. San Francisco’s first team offense has still failed to score a touchdown in the preseason this year. 

 

The Bengals downed the Cardinals 19-13. In the only touchdown scored with the first team’s on the field Arizona QB Carson Palmer threw a “pick 6” to Terrence Newman. 

 

The Angels beat the A’s 9-4 Sunday night. L.A. reclaims first place in the AL West moving 1 game up on Oakland. 

 

The Royals lost to the Rangers 3-1 while the Tigers rolled over the Twins 13-4. Detroit moves 2 games back of Kansas City in the AL Central.

 

The Mariners outscored the Red Sox 8-6. Seattle remains 1 game up on Detroit for the second AL wildcard spot. 

 

The Brewers got by the Pirates 4-3 while the Cardinals fell to the Phillies 7-1. Milwaukee moved 1 ½ games up on St. Louis in the NL Central race.  

 

The Giants lost to the Nationals 14-6 while the Braves fell to the Reds 5-3. San Francisco remains 1 game up on Atlanta and 1 ½ up on Pittsburgh for the second NL wildcard spot. 

 

In the Little League World Championship game Seoul, South Korea beat Chicago, Illinois 8-4. 

 

Fox Sports 1 contributor Adrian Wojnarowski reports the Kevin Love trade from the Minnesota Timberwolves to the Cleveland Cavaliers has been finalized. 

 

Hunter Mahan earned his first PGA Tour win in his last 47 starts with a victory at The Barclays. Rory McIlroy finished in 22nd place.
